And for those who cannot make it to the Khajuraho Dance Festival, the famous Western Group of temples are the background to a light and sound show that goes through the history of the Chandela rulers and the temples every day. Similarly, Orchha’s Chaturbhuj Temple, the Jehangir Mahal, the Raj Mahal, the cenotaphs, etc are home to the one-hour shows that take place between November and February. For foodlovers, who venture out post 10pm, Indore’s legendary Sarafa Bazaar havevendors selling rows of neatly arranged gulabjamuns alongside panipuricarts, sandwich stalls and juice shops. Moving away from the cities, Bandhavgarh National Park’s night safaris jump right into the beauty of nature and bountiful wildlife.
