Singapore is great for those who love the outdoors. Open spaces turned into beautiful gardens, a bird park and a famous zoo are among some of the must do thing, making this nation great for children and adults alike.

Singapore is a treasure trove of activities. Fondly known as the “state of fun” Sentosa is a man-made themed park-like recreation island. Adventure lovers must make their way to the Skyline Luge’s winding downhill tracks; these can be taken cautiously or at full tilt and children who don’t meet the 130 cm height requirement can ride pillion with their parents. At the bottom, a cable car takes visitors on a slower, more scenic ride back to the top. Gardens by the Bay is great for all age groups and great at nightfall too. One of the two conservatories, the Cloud Forest, boasts a 35m-tall manmade mountain and waterfall. Singapore Zoo is home to descendants of Ah Meng, the famous orangutan, rescued from a private home where she was being kept illegally. She eventually became a tourism icon for Singapore until she died in 2008.
