Step away from the Incas and Lima—Peru has some unique places and unusual spots, worth a visit.

So many more things in Peru that most tourists are unaware of: close to Lima’s Baraanco is La Puente de Los Suspiros (the Bridge of Sighs), which at night looks magical. In another part of the country, the San Pedro Cemetery of Ninacaca is a colorful treat with vibrant tombstones for the dead. Near the historic city of Cusco is Keshwachaca, among the last handwoven Incan bridges, not known to many. And hidden in the dense jungle of the Peruvian Amazon is a boiling river whose waters can each up to 200 degrees and was believed to be sacred with healing powers. Peru is a magical place to be in.
