Like every city Ireland has its set of touristy places – pubs in Dublin, Irish countryside and islands, Victorian libraries and various walks and trails. But the country also has a vast list of places waiting to be discovered. Come, take a walk with us.

Ireland may have its touristy things to do, but the tiny island country has quite a few things not many know about. A large empty hill with a mass grave from 1600 to 1700 BCE, the mound of hostages is the most unusual place in the country. If the thought of a spherical mound with over 500 bodies buried in layers makes you uncomfortable, you could go for a more pleasant experience at Garnish Island. Adorned with manicured gardens with friendly seals awaiting you by the shore, it makes for a great boat ride. You could also plan a trip to Scattery Island - a treeless expansive land with only one tower and miles of greenery, or the walk through the bluebells jungle in Convoy, Co. Donegal.

In the country of islands, a visit to light house is always a great idea. The 800-year-old Hook Lighthouse on the Hook Peninsula is something one mustn’t miss in Ireland.
