Borobudur
With 2,672 relief panels, 504 Buddhas and countless Stupas, Borobudur is one of the most hauntingly beautiful sites in Indonesia. The nine-layered temple is believed to be built in the 9th century by Buddhist kings and fell into disuse after volcanic ashes engulfed it for centuries.

The Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is a not only a famous landmark in Indonesia but also an important temple complex belonging to the located on Beratan Lake in central Bali. Built in 1633, this 11-tiered temple is dedicated to Shiva and is considered one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the country.
